Lachlan is easily one of the best songwriters in Australia right now. It's evident in all of his projects, and with this album in particular, just how well he can put vulnerability, loss, hope, and vivid storytelling together into an album full of 2-3 minute songs. Instrumentation and overall arrangement is also A1 - Just wish I could own this on vinyl! dominic96
What a charming collection of songs from two of my favourite songwriters. One recently broken up, the other dealing with the banalities of a happy relationship. Magic. jimgw
The experimental rock band's new record is as melodic and inventive as ever, but now with an even more honed sense of play. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 27, 2024
Ross J. Farrar of Ceremony creates dubby outside punk evoking the minimalism of Young Marble Giants on his second solo record. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 27, 2024
Yet another excellent record discovered via the 1234 program on pimpod.com. An Australian duo presenting a varied mix, with a touch of psychedelia on the opening track and some very fine slabs of alt pop throughout. I hear a strong Go-Betweens influence at different times, particularly on the songs sung by Lachlan. Each vocalist lends their own vibe to the numbers they sing and it all makes for a highly impressive album. Gavin Hellyer
